Yeida provides help to several developments for property buyers.

Several important recommendations have been approved by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida), including a proposal to let more than 8,000 property buyers pay in four installments the additional 64.7% farmers’ hiked compensation over their acquired land for Jewar airport, a report published in the Hindustan Times of March 4
The authority remarked while addressing the matter during its 83rd board meeting on March 3. The allottees will have until March 31 to apply; following which they would have to pay the first instalment of 25% within two months.
“Three payments totalling the remaining sum will be made over six-month intervals. Apart from the two-year timeline provided to clear the debts, Yeida chief executive officer said that no relief would be granted on interest or penal interest for delayed payments. Furthermore approved was a proposal to set up a medical college on 20 acres of land in Sector 17, with applications for the project set to be invited shortly.
Policy of uniform industrial plot allocation
Also under discussion at the conference were the establishment of a consistent industrial land allocation strategy in line with Noida and Greater Noida authorities; professionals of Hindustan Times said this.
While larger tracts would be distributed via an interview-based procedure, the board also agreed to apply e-auctions for plots up to 8,000 square meters. “The changes will be needed in the goal parameters for interview-based allocation to represent the unique pace of Yeida region development. The CEO indicated that the updated criteria would be discussed at the next board meeting on March 28 for clearance.
Delayed in building
The YEIDA board meeting also covered the problem of delayed construction. Though they have yet to start working on their plots, many 25,000 to 34000 allottees in sectors 18, 20, 22D and 24 have acquired ownership of their plots.
These allottees should get their building plan approved 45 days after registration and start construction 90 days from now. They will get a 9-month extension. The deadline for completing building on these sites is December 31.
Public mobility
Regarding public transport, the board approved the 100 electric buses included into the municipal bus scheme. According to the above newspaper, 300 of the 500 electric buses scheduled would be allotted to Noida authority where Greater Noida and Yeida will get 100 apiece.
Yeida has also agreed to add 150 more buses to improve access between Noida International Airport and important sites including Sarai Kale Khan, Hapur, Bulandshahr and Ghaziabad. The buses will also help with inter-city commuting to Pari Chowk, Botanical Garden and other main hubs. In infrastructure development, the board allowed repairs of 25 roads inside Yeida sectors, despite rural engineering services (RES) and public works department (PWD) jurisdiction covering these roads.
While eight roads under RES, also spanning 32km, will be upgraded at a cost of ₹26 crore, these 17 PWD-managed roads, totalling 32km, will be restored at a cost of ₹14.5 crore. Singh said the board chose to start repairs rather than waiting for administrative transfers of their vital importance in the Yeida area. According to Hindustan Times the board nodded to building peripheral boundaries around three villages—Akalpur, Myana and Maqsoodpur—to mark “Abadi land” and stop encroachments.
